Day 7 – El Questro 15/7/18

We woke up early this morning as we all wanted to get to Zebedee Springs early and enjoy it before it gets too busy. It is the local hot springs and they are only open from 7am – 12pm and then closes for the rest of the day so it is only a small timeframe for everyone to enjoy it.

We arrived at the springs at about 9am and we had a really great time, it is such a special place. We were lucky enough to take some photos as Anthony brought his phone in with him which is waterproof. Water temperature ranges between 28 and 32 degrees so it is so amazing to just lay back and enjoy the warm water.

We headed back to camp about  11am and got some pics of the entry water crossing at Fitzroy Crossing at the entry to El Questro. We had already decided this morning that we would jack up the trailer and shake it until the kitchen comes loose and it did! It was the same drawer as last time so dad has decided that he will probably put some locks on them now to stop them from coming open again in future.

We were going to do another walk today but 31 degrees and it feels really hot, no one can be bothered so we gave it a miss. Dad, Anthony, Alexis and I went for a walk to the back of the caravan park to check out the Pentecost River that the park backs onto, it was nice, there are areas you can swim at but the water is too cold.

Just before sunset we went up to check out Saddleback Ridge which is a 4x4 track to a beautiful lookout, the drive was fine definitely 4x4 and some very steep inclines but a bit of fun – we got to the top just before the sunset which was perfect timing, we took some photos but naturally photos never do it justice then we decided to drive back down pretty soon after so we weren’t trying to tackle the track at night and there were some other cars there that wanted to just go down at a hundred miles an hour without a care in the world, they were crazy and clearly didn’t care much for their vehicles.

Just before we called it a night Alexis wanted to show her barbie doll to Nanny and we said to her that’s your barbie and she turns to us all and says “This is my BARBEQUE! Hahaha it was very funny.
